STU/66th Council/14/002
1 April 2014

Dear Colleagues,

During our last meeting with HRM, we were informed orally by DIR/HRM that the Administration aimed to send letters concerning the abolishment of posts to the concerned colleagues before the beginning of the Executive Board starting on Wednesday 2 April 2014 and that, moreover, the Redeployment Group would be convened right after the Executive Board.

On 21 and 26 March 2014, STU sent HRM a number of requests which remain unanswered to this day. We therefore reiterate publicly our requests.

STU requests from the Administration that:

  • job descriptions of vacant posts, at the same grade or at the grade immediately lower, for which redeployed staff members will have the possibility to express their interest according to the terms of Administrative Circular AC/HR/28, be communicated to them at the same time as the letter concerning the abolition of their post, and not simple summary descriptions of the functions of these posts, as well as given to the members of the Redeployment Group;

  • the relevant staff be informed in writing of the possibility to complete MyTalent until a specified date , prior to the date of the first meeting of the Redeployment Group.

In the interests of the Organization and its staff, we strongly hope to receive a positive response from the Administration on these two points before the letters regarding the abolition of posts are sent.

The STU Council.

Let's join forces, join STU now!
