The STU is deeply affected by the deaths and the devastation caused by the massive explosion that ravaged Beirut last night.

We extend our sincere condolences to the families who have lost loved ones. Our thoughts go to those who have been injured.

We express our solidarity with our colleagues in Beirut office, the members of our UN family and the people of Beirut and Lebanon at this tragic and challenging period.
