Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that, following our repeated requests to the Administration, colleagues redeployed in 2014 on posts at a lower grade have regained their pensions rights acquired before their transfer.

We thank the Administration for taking this decision, which leads more towards justice and equity.

This however is only a first step: STU will continue to demand that these colleagues recover their previous grades..

Indeed, the Organization has made insignificant savings from the transfer of posts to lower grades, in the framework of the staff redeployment exercise in 2014. However this was perceived, and rightly so , by affected colleagues as an unjustified sanction , severely undermining their morale and motivation. It is high time that they recover their previous grade, either in a personal capacity, or by transfer..
