The Redeployment process has begun

The Redeployment process began this morning, Friday April 18 2014. Managers (ADG and EO) of Sectors/Bureaux started to hand deliver to each staff member concerned the letter confirming the definite abolition of their post within the framework of the Staff Restructuring Plan as approved by the Director- General.

Upon receipt and the acknowledgment of receipt entailing the staff member’s signature , the letter is decisive ; that is to say, it establishes the starting point , for each staff member, of the redeployment process for a period of four months.

We strongly encourage all staff members concerned to refer again to the Deputy Director-General’s memorandum dated 16 October 2013, as well as the Administrative Circular on the Redeployment Group (AC/HR/28).

Staff members who opt for an Agreed Separation have five (5) working days (holidays and weekends excluded), from the day they countersign the letter confirming the abolition of their post, to inform HRM of their decision.

Staff members who opt for Redeployment have ten (10) working days (holidays and weekends excluded), from the day they countersign the letter confirming the abolition of their post, to express their interest for one or more vacant post(s) published on the HRM Website at their grade or at a lower grade. This list on the HRM website is only available to concerned staff members.

The STU is available to support and advise all concerned staff members during this first step of the process.
